On Monday – 2.30pm, Communities and Local Government Oral Questions in the House of Commons. 4.20pm Communities and Local Government Commons Select Committee on regeneration.

Also on Monday the Localism Bill reaches Committee stage – line by line examination of the Bill – in the House of Lords.

DCLG has just published New burdens doctrine: Guidance for government departments which sets out the factors that government departments should take into account when considering the costs and savings to local authorities arising from changes to policies and programmes.

On Tuesday Andrew Stunnell MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, DCLG, will be speaking at the LGiU’s conference  What does the Localism Bill mean for councils?  The conference is co-hosted with Stockport MBC.

On Friday DCLG will publish statistics on planning applications in England.
