On the day of the King’s Speech, the LGIU and CCN hosted the Local Government Summer Reception, bringing together senior local government figures for an interesting and enjoyable evening.

The LGIU and County Councils Network (CCN) hosted the 2024 Local Government Summer Reception this evening (17 July) at the Conrad Hotel in St James.

We were delighted to welcome more than 250 members of the local government family on the day of the King’s Speech to discuss the opportunities – and challenges –  that the new government’s agenda presents for the sector.

The conversation throughout the evening was lively and interesting. Thank you to everyone who attended for making it such an enjoyable evening of local government!
