The OECD’s first Rural Policy Review of Ireland, published in February 2026, assesses Ireland’s national rural strategy. The review affirms the strength of Ireland’s whole-of-government approach while identifying persistent gaps in subnational capacity, spatial intelligence and policy coherence that should be addressed in the next iteration of the strategy.
