Pickles could overturn Norwich unitary plans

Michael Gove has moved quickly to put his own stamp on his department with a rebrand. Now Eric Pickles seems equally keen to make a statement of intent. The Eastern Daily Press is reporting that Pickles will overturn the decision to grant Norwich unitary status. It’s likely that this will mean delaying current plans then introducing new legislation to overturn the move in full. Norwich City Council Leader Steve Morphew has said that he will oppose the move.
