The LGiU is running a series of seminars over the autumn and winter on different aspects of the Localism Bill.
The seminars will examine in detail the impact on councils of some of the provisions within the Bill:
– General Power of Competence (6 Oct);
– Referenda (19 Oct);Planning (15 Nov);
– Right to Run Services (8 Dec).
Expert practitioners from the LGiU and other organisations will help delegates identify the preparation required to be ready for the Act and the challenges and opportunities presented.
