Your Voice Counts – Increasing Employment of People with Mental Health Problems in the Public Sector

Disabled people form 20% of the population but only 11% of the workforce. The Scottish Government is asking how we can increase the number of people with disabilities working in the public sector through a consultation which is currently taking place.

We want to know your views about this specifically in relation to Mental Health Problems.

We are going to look at important issues such as;

  • How comfortable would you be telling your employer you have a mental health problem?
  • What is needed to get people into and remain in public sector work?
  • Should targets be set?

So please come along if you have some thoughts on this, partcicularly if you have experience working in the public sector.

Please note we can provide reasonable travel expenses.
