Overview

For officers, working effectively with elected members is both vitally important and challengingly complex. Join for a workshop for those both new to working in a political environment and those with more experience under their belt as we dive into the roles of officers and members. Learn new skills and reflect on your experiences to work in harmony and bring about meaningful change.

Who should attend

Any officer who has significant interaction with elected members or who wants to develop their understanding of the complexity and subtlety of the relationship. Particularly useful for managers new to local government needs to develop an understanding of this aspect of how councils work.
