LGiU and Mears are hosting a roundtable on the state of home care and discussion of the LGiU’s soon to be published Paying for it: The human price of cut price care.
Paying for it, examines the fragile state of the home care market and looks at both the financial and systemic issues that leave everyone from workers, to managers to people who need care in a vulnerable state. We will briefly present key messages from the report and then invite senior stakeholders to look at how we can shore up the market to avoid the impending crisis and look at long term solutions to care funding and achieving outcomes based commissioning to supporting better care and a healthy care market.
