There are over 1,200 councillors across Scotland, working to represent and support their communities. At LGiU Scotland, we want to recognise and reward those councillors who go the extra mile for their constituents. Since our first event last year was such a success, in November this year we will host the second Councillor Awards in Scotland.
In the beautiful Council Chamber at Edinburgh City Chambers, in front of an audience of over 100 of their colleagues and peers, councillors from across Scotland will be presented with awards recognising their outstanding accomplishments, community impact and championing of diversity. There will be a keynote address from Cllr Adam McVey, Leader of the City of Edinburgh Council, and we’ll also hear from senior figures from LGiU and CCLA.
So, save the date and join us on the 28th November for another evening of celebration, recognition, drinks and canapés – supporting our councillors and all the work they do. Invitations will be sent to our readers closer to the time, but you can also email Hannah Muirhead now if you would like to attend.
These awards are made possible by the generous sponsorship of CCLA
