Improving Social Care Services in Your Area of the Highlands (Inverness)

Share your experience of using social care services in the Highlands to help improve the organisation and delivery of support.

About this Event

The Highland SDS Stakeholder Group will be meeting 4 times a year to look at people’s experiences of trying to access and make use of social care (now called Self Directed Support) to meet their needs.

The meetings will bring together people using services, their carers, people working for voluntary sector organisations and staff working for NHS Highland and Highland Council. There will be an opportunity to:

  • Identify barriers to people getting the support they need
  • Identify actions we can take to get over those barriers
  • Work out who will need to work on these issues and how people can work together

Discussions will take place in a relaxed and supported environment. Refreshments and lunch will be provided- as well as support to enable people to come to the meetings.
