Local government is operating in a period of significant and ongoing change, shaped by funding pressures, rising demand for services, Local Government Reorganisation in England, and the everyday pressures of working in complex environments. These challenges can affect personal wellbeing, resilience, and our ability to support others effectively.

This interactive session provides time and space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what supports your own resilience. Drawing on evidence from positive psychology, neuroscience, and behavioural science, the session will introduce practical, research-informed tools to help manage stress, strengthen resilience, and sustain performance during times of change.

Through guided reflection, small-group discussion, and experiential activities, participants will identify what works for them personally, and leave with practical actions they can apply immediately – both for themselves and when supporting colleagues and teams.
