How to get into politics – a workshop for women

Bookmark

This workshop with Ayrshire Women’s Hub is for women who have an interest in politics but don’t know where to start.

Maybe you are a campaigner but don’t know how your skills translate into formal politics? Maybe you want to contribute to your local community but don’t know if becoming a Councillor is for you? Maybe you want to influence policies in Westminster but don’t know how to begin? Maybe you just want to know how people choose a party…

Come along to connect with other women as we explore why women get into politics, what routes you can take and how to commit to your first steps. For women with little formal knowledge of politics but a desire to make a difference.

We are excited to be joined by guest speaker Cllr Laura Brennan-Whitefield, SNP.

This workshop is part of a series of workshops for women wanting to get into politics. For more details of other workshop locations and to watch our recorded webinar series, see www.parliamentproject.com

Ayrshire Women’s Hub is a warm, friendly walk-in premises in Ayr, where women can go to socialise, learn and empower each other through our free workshops, surgeries and classes.

This event is open to all women and free. Kindly supported by The Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust.
