‘Future of Local Government’ Reception

Bookmark

We’d like to thank our members for supporting us in 2016. We’re inviting members, parliamentarians and other figures in Scottish local government to join us and our associates at a reception on 7th December.

As we head into 2017 and beyond, local government will have some difficult decisions to make. LGiU Scotland looks forward to being part of those conversations about the future of Scottish local government and local democracy. This reception provides a timely opportunity to discuss recent announcements on local government finance, education and care.

Speakers:
Hosted by Kenneth Gibson MSP. Speakers include:
  • Keith Brown MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Jobs and Fair Work, on the future of local government in Scotland and infrastructure investment
  • Fiona Lees, Chief Executive of East Ayrshire Council
  • Dr Andy Johnston, Chief Operating Officer, LGiU Scotland
Who should attend?
We're inviting MSPs, Council Leaders and Chief Executives plus other selected guests from Scottish local government and beyond. LGiU Scotland staff and briefing writers will also be in attendance.
