EM Workshop – Public Health – Falkirk

Bookmark

The Improvement Service is offering a series of free workshops to support locally elected members to develop their skills and enhance their knowledge. Local government, and public services in Scotland, are facing challenges that will require the utmost skill and dedication from elected members to successfully navigate. These workshops will support elected members to develop their knowledge and skills to effectively carry out the complex roles and responsibilities expected of them.

The workshops are held on a cross-council, cross-party basis at venues across Scotland and spaces will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. Each workshop will be highly discursive and interactive, with elected members playing a full and active role.

If you have any questions about the programme, please contact electedmembers@improvementservice.org.uk.

This workshop will be facilitated by members of the Public Health Reform team.

Scottish Government and COSLA public health reform programme aims to deliver transformational change in the public’s health. This workshop for elected members will focus on developing awareness and understanding of the reform programme and the role of local government, reflecting the important contribution of local government to improving the public’s health across a range of functions including economic development, planning, housing and environmental health.
