The Scottish Fiscal Commission will publish its next economic forecasts for Scotland alongside the upcoming Scottish Budget. In its previous forecasts, the Commission described a subdued economic outlook, and in particular focused on slow growth in wages over the last several years.
We will talk about how we think wage growth is changing, the demographic and inter-generational aspects of this, how this affects our outlook for the economy, and how this impacts on income tax revenues.
Come along to find out more about the Commission’s research in this area. We’ll do some presentations, followed by some open working groups where we will be looking to get your views on these important issues. It is designed to be a knowledge exchange event under Chatham House rules.
