Building Walkable Places – Panel Discussion in Parliament, 24 October

Bookmark

LGiU has been working with the Ramblers to investigate how councils and developers can collaborate to build active and connected places. Our research highlights some of barriers, but also includes practical steps that can be taken to promote place-shaping across local government.

We have surveyed and interviewed councils across England, and will be releasing our results at a public discussion event in Parliament. Join us from 10am – 12pm on 24 October in the Jubilee Room, in Parliament, to discuss this new research.

Speakers and panellists will include Angela Smith MP, Alan Benson (Head of housing strategy and commissioning at London Borough of Haringay), Andrew Walker (LGiU) and Kate Conto (Senior policy officer at the Ramblers).
