All Party Parliamentary Local Government Group Meeting with Lord Freud

The  Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Welfare Reform, Lord Freud, will address the All Party Parliamentary Local Government Group. The Minister will provide an update the implementation of Universal Credit, and will discuss the potential implications of the switch to Universal Credit for local authorities.

With the pilots of Universal Credit in Manchester now underway, this debate should prove timely, interesting and necessary.

LGiU provides the secretariat to the All Party Parliamentary Local Government Group; invites go to all Leaders and CEOs of LGiU member councils.
