Equity, equality, what makes a good life?

This briefing discusses two evolving areas of policy practice – indicator frameworks and resource allocation – to suggest that understanding the potential implications of equity- and equality-oriented approaches can greatly enrich local government approaches to policy design, communication, and implementation.
