Dave Wilcox – a statement of thanks

On behalf of the Local Government Information Unit, we extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Dave Wilcox, who served as our Chair from 2003 to 2014.

Throughout his life, Dave was committed to improving the lives of residents, strengthening the bonds within communities and advocating for the local government sector.

His vigour, openness and can-do attitude made a real difference to people’s lives and his long, exemplary career demonstrates the deep connection he had with residents.

We are incredibly grateful for Dave’s commitment to the LGIU for more than a decade. His insights, expertise and good humour were invaluable to the organisation.
