There is still time to send in nominations for this year’s C’llr Achievement Awards. The deadline for sending in nominations is now 5pm Friday 7 January 2011.
These awards are designed to highlight and celebrate the dedicated effort that councillors put in throughout the year to strengthen local democracy and help improve the lives of citizens.
As always, entry to these awards is absolutely FREE, anyone can nominate any councillor (but you cannot nominate yourself) and there are no limits to the number of entrants from any one council.
The deadline is 5pm, Friday 31 December 2010 and entry forms can be found here. Winners will be announced at an event in London next February. The awards are supported by LGiU and CCLA.
This year we have chosen to offer nine categories. They are;
Leader of the year
Young councillor of the year
New councillor of the year
Scrutineer of the year
Online councillor of the year
Community champion of the year
Sustainability champion of the year
CCLA award for outstanding contribution to financial performance
Partnership achievement of the year
