This is the final of three blogs on the first event of our new Civil Society Innovation Network. Part 1 included videos from Lord Adebowale from Turning Point. The second post focused on the Ministerial address by Andrew Stunell MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State. Post 3 will be the key points and ideas on the Big Society from Andrew Elkington, Head of Policy, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
At the first session of the Civil Society Innovation Network the group also heard from one of the Big Society Vanguards. Andrew Elkington, Head of Policy, from the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead gave a presentation on the work that they have been doing since becoming a Vanguard. To find out more about their work, you can visit the RBWM website.
The videos below are excerpts from his presentation, and set out how they have gone about defining the Big Society, the role of ‘nudge’ theory, and two practice examples – Adopt a Street and their Nectar Incentive Scheme.
The full presentation is available at the bottom of this page.
