Improving air quality in the UK: tackling nitrogen dioxide in our towns and cities

In May 2017, the government released its updated air quality action plan. The consultation ended on 15 June. The plan states that local authorities are “best placed to take the lead” on air pollution, but no new funding is announced. Anticipated incentives to discourage diesel car purchases were postponed.
