Work and Pensions Committee report: Self-employment and the gig economy



The Work and Pensions Committee’s inquiry into self-employment and the ‘gig economy’ examined whether our welfare system adequately supports the self-employed and ‘gig economy’ workers. Its recommendations include reforming employment rights and benefits and tax arrangements for the self-employed. These issues are likely to remain important for the foreseeable future.
