Sure Start Children’s Centres – update

Summary

At its peak, there were 3,600 Sure Start Children’s Centres in England which brought together a range of services designed to improve the life chances of the youngest children and their families including early education and childcare, health visitors, parenting classes, welfare to work guidance and playgroups. This briefing provides an update on the programme.
