The Government of Ireland’s annual public sector purchasing accounts for 10% to 12% of GDP, a significant share of national economic activity and demand. Green Public Procurement (GPP) is one of the primary ways in which public bodies can stimulate the provision of more resource-efficient, less polluting goods and services to help meet our climate targets and improve energy efficiency.
