Standing Out from the Crowd – An Analysis of the Relationship between Local and Central Government in Scotland’s Multi-Tiered Political System



The Scottish political system currently has representation in five distinct levels of the political system. Using this as a backdrop, this paper will examine the relationship that exists between the interlinked levels of local and central government in Scotland and ascertain how this relationship has developed since devolution.
