The Serious Crime Bill, which is currently before Parliament, contains a number of wide-ranging provisions to pursue, disrupt and bring to justice, serious and organised criminals and gangs. This briefing focuses on Part 5 of the Bill covering three provisions on the protection of children.

This briefing will be of interest to cabinet portfolio members who oversee children’s services and to policy and legal officers in child protection, and those working in children’s social care services.
