School Accountability and the Effectiveness of OFSTED – Education Datalab


The availability of large data sets pupil information, and their matching with school performance and inspection data has enabled independent researchers to ask important questions about the effectiveness and future development of the schools system in England. Education Datalab is one such body and this CSN briefing looks at a recent publication which looks at new school performance measures, how performance measures have changed the school curriculum and how good Ofsted inspections are at predicting changes in a school performance.
