Summary
The operating model gives more detail than has previously been available on how Public Health England (PHE) will be expected to work with local government and what their respective roles will be. Detail is also given of the proposed national, regional and local structures for PHE, including local units spanning a number of local authority areas and based on the existing Health Protection Units.
