Summary
New multi-agency inspection arrangements were introduced in 2016 to look at specific children’s services issues with Ofsted in the lead. Following ‘deep dive’ inspections of five local authorities, the first report, on child sexual exploitation (CSE), has been published. The findings are generally positive although the findings show there is still much work to be done to improve services for children at risk of CSE, and those who have been exploited.
