This briefing summarises an Ofsted research report which explores how schools make decisions when they are under financial pressure, and what impact these decisions could have on the quality of education they provide. The report was accompanied by a blog commentary from the Chief Inspector, Amanda Spielman which proved to be controversial in her apparent assertion that schools can “squander” funding.
