‘- The National Audit Office has published a report on the effectiveness of central government’s communications and engagement with local government.
– Accepting that communications between the two parts of government is “inherently challenging” the report calls for improvement on the part of central government, claiming that policy consultations can be rushed, emails are poorly targeted and departmental communications standards and oversight is not systematic.
