Monitoring and Evaluation of local climate change adaptation

Summary

Global temperatures have already increased by 1.0°C compared to pre-industrial levels. Adaptation is becoming increasingly important, but most local authorities do not have comprehensive adaptation plans in place. Monitoring and evaluation of adaptation is a useful tool to demonstrate progress, communicate with stakeholders, motivate internal stakeholders and increase funding allocations.
