‘- This is the first in a series of briefings on the policy development being undertaken by the main political parties ahead of the 2015 General Election.

– The Labour Party is conducting a wide ranging policy review under the banner of ‘Agenda 2015’ which will feed into the development of their Manifesto for the 2015 General Election.

– This briefing seeks to provide a ‘snap shot’ overview of where the review has got to, some of the key issues being considered and what is known about next steps.

– So far the review has addressed a number of issues of key concern to local government including bus reregulation, devolving transport funding, regulation of the private rent sector and integrating health and social care services.

– This briefing will be of interest to all executive members, cabinet portfolio members and senior officers at all tiers of local government.
