After months of development, the NSW Government’s proposed Design and Place State Environmental Planning Policy (SEPP) was suddenly abandoned in April this year. This briefing revisits what was proposed, and argues for local governments to step in and implement these reforms, drawing on the extensive strategic analysis and expert input that went into the Draft SEPP.
