Summary
This briefing describes the initial findings of a LGiU and Mears survey on council commissioning in domiciliary care. The survey results provide a snapshot of council practice in relation to outcome-based commissioning. The briefing also makes a call for examples of commissioning innovation from local authority members.
It is relevant to policy officers and commissioners in adult social care, and elected members with the portfolio, or overview and scrutiny responsibility for this area.
