Improvements to Scotland’s housing over the next 20 years should mean more social housing as well as warmer and greener homes for renters and homeowners. ‘Housing to 2040’, published by Scottish Government, also promises better quality housing across all tenures, with existing homes brought up to the same standard as new properties and improved accessibility to allow more people to live independently as they grow older.
