Summary

The poorest areas in cities do not always benefit from periods of growth in the wider region and can remain disconnected from local prosperity. JRF recommends placing a greater premium on inclusive growth and suggests that a ‘social deal’ should be incorporated into city-regional economic growth strategies across the UK.
