• Apprenticeships for Young People: An OFSTED Good Practice Report is an evaluation of what works well in Apprenticeship Programmes, It is based on an in-depth study by inspectors of a representative sample of 15 providers rated good or outstanding

• Teaching and assessing to exacting standards, good quality regular review processes, high levels of collaboration with employers and schools and a firm focus on progression to the next stage all helped programmes be successful for young people and employers.

• The Report’s recommendations need setting alongside other guidance and reports that are focused on improving the quality of provision, learning and progression into work for young people in particular.
