This briefing is on a blueprint setting out a different model for children’s social work that better enables relationships between social workers and children and families and provides a practical route for local authorities in England to create long term change. A Blueprint for Children’s Social Care has been produced by Frontline, the charity with a mission to recruit and develop outstanding individuals to be leaders in social work, supported by the Centre for Public Impact (CPI) UK, and Buurtzorg Britain and Ireland. (CPI has been exploring a new model for government where power is shared and which values new approaches to accountability and putting new relationships first.
