Local Elections in England are almost upon us. Many LGIU members will be incredibly busy making sure that everything is in place for a smooth and efficient polling day.

The LGIU’s local elections page is up and running and grows each week as we add more information, commentary and other content, building into a really useful library of resources.

And we are really pleased to be able to offer another benefit for the sector. Once again we are teaming up with the Vuelio political team to produce our weekly elections bulletin for the 2023 local elections in England.

From the 6 April for six weeks the LGIU team and the Vuelio team will be producing a weekly bulletin that will cover:

  • elections news
  • insights
  • commentary
  • key announcements and developments.

LGIU members can read the elections bulletins on our website and we will link you to them each week in your Thursday edition of Daily News. So make sure you have asked to receive Daily News (a key part of your membership) by visiting ‘My updates’ in your website account. If you haven’t yet registered on the website then sign up here.

LGIU’s full elections resources – updated every week

Every year LGIU puts the spotlight on local elections, with information, commentary and analysis for our members and wider local government.

Because for us, these elections are the most important elections – the part of our democracy that is embedded in the places where we live and work. And supporting the people who make local elections happen, who uphold our local democracy, is at the heart of what the LGIU is about.
