Earlier this year, a referral to conduct an inquiry into the financial sustainability of local government in Australia was given. This briefing provides details of the Committee’s Terms of Reference and an overview of the submissions accepted so far, including the Australian Government’s submission. This is the first of several briefings on the inquiry.
