LGIU Ireland is a policy information service dedicated to local government across Ireland. We work to inform our members by providing practical, up-to-the-minute intelligence on policy issues. Our services help public servants make policy, support residents and work more effectively with colleagues.
Our members include more than 20 councils plus regional assemblies and chambers of commerce. Around 5,000 people across Ireland receive our email bulletins every day – Senators, TDs, Conveners, CEOs, NGOs in addition to our core audience of councillors and council officers.
LGIU Ireland membership
Every councillor or employee at an LGIU Ireland member organisation is a member too. We provide our members with:
- LGIU Ireland Daily News: a professional summary of what the press are saying about local government across Ireland, emailed to you five mornings a week by 6.30am.
- LGIU Ireland briefings: at least two new briefings every week, written by sector colleagues and academics in Ireland, plus access on the website to all the briefings from the rest of the LGIU family.
- Workshops, roundtables and other events.
- Interesting and insightful blog posts.
