LGiU and CCLA are pleased to announce that the 2013 C’llr Achievement Awards are open for entries.

Now in their fourth year, the Awards are established as the only national ceremony that recognises and rewards the fantastic work of councillors from across the political spectrum.

There will be a total of 11 different awards on offer at the 2013 ceremony. These include the Age UK Award, the Judges’ Special Award for Contribution to Local Government and the Bruce-Lockhart Member Scholarship. The latter will be of particular interest as the winning councillor will be presented with a £10,000 bursary, supported by Kent, Essex, and East Sussex councils.

It is free to enter the 2013 awards, and the closing date is set for Friday 30th December 2012. For more information on how to enter please visit: www.lgiu.org/cllr-awards-how-to-enter/

The ceremony, which last year had the Rt Hon Eric Pickles MP, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, as the keynote speaker is due to be held in late February 2013.

Further details on the different awards and the nomination process can be found at www.lgiu.org/cllrawards or  please contact us at awards@lgiu.org.
